Peak View Canyon Basement Remodel
Blue River, Colorado — Noble Construction
“Choose the mountain you want to climb: don't pay attention to what other people say, such as ‘that one's more beautiful’ or ‘this one's easier.’ You'll be spending lots of energy and enthusiasm to reach your objective, so you're the only one responsible and you should be sure of what you're doing.”
- Paulo Coelho

This Summit local family asked for a basement that worked as hard as their lifestyle: ski boots by sunrise, homework by late afternoon, friends by evening. The space had good bones—tall ceilings, a walk-out view, a stone fireplace that deserved a second life—but it never felt finished. Our brief was simple and ambitious at once: create a beautiful, durable, all-season lower level that feels like part of the home, not an afterthought.

We started by clarifying how the family truly lives. Storage for gear needed to be smart, not bulky. The TV wall needed to anchor the room without taking it over. The existing fireplace needed warmth and presence, not just heat. And everything had to stand up to snow, pets, and weekends full of guests without looking “tough.” Form and function, no compromises.

The fireplace deserved its own paragraph. We rebuilt the surround with proportion in mind, cladding the face in artisan-set stone with tighter joints and a more modern silhouette. The result is the heart of the room—mountain character without cliché.

Timeline and efficiency matter here in Summit. We delivered this project in six weeks, start to finish, including inspections and custom millwork. Clear scheduling, daily site cleanup, and tight communication kept the house livable and the family’s routine intact. Being Summit locals serving Summit locals isn’t a tagline for us; it’s why we plan around storm cycles, school schedules, and supply chains the way only people who live here do.

The reveal felt like the house finally exhaled. The kids claimed the game table, the dog found the warm patch by the hearth, and the bar saw its first toast before sunset. The space is calmer, stronger, and ready for whatever the season throws at it. That’s the difference between a basement and a finished lower level: one stores stuff; the other hosts a life.

If this project sparks ideas for your home—basement, kitchen, bathroom, fireplace, or the custom odd job you’ve been sketching on napkins—reach out. We work quickly, we communicate clearly, and we build things to last up here. Noble Construction. Summit locals, for Summit living.
